Cupping, Gua Sha and Moxabustion.
Cupping is a suction technique used by applying glass or plastic cups, along the meridians and acupuncture points. The cups invigorate Qi and Blood to the area, cleansing the tissue's with new blood, aiding in recovery and pain relief.
Gua Sha is used to cleanse 'Sha' from the body, Sha is a toxic accumulation build up in the body from stagnant Qi and Blood, which can be the cause of your aches and pains. Brushing a spoon along the affected area, allows the Sha to be released and pain dissolved. Sha can be recognized by the colour of the marks seen on the skin after a Cupping or Gua Sha treatment.
Moxabustion is heat therapy, commonly performed with a compressed stick of mugwort known as a moxa stick, Several health benefits have been recorded including improved blood flow and production, used specifically for weak people or those with arthritis and aches that are affected by temperature and weather.
